This course with Emmanuel Salvador
focused on creating and mounting the
artist’s first exhibition.
The exhibition Le don de Soi pour L’autre is
on show at the Palais du Tau in Reims from
13 September to 31 October 2019.
The exhibition was divided into three
rooms. It featured engravings, silk tunics
and furniture amid monumental structures
and installations.
I was involved in the creative process
from the very start of the project, working
on modelling the site and the placing of
the pieces on site, thinking about how to assemble and arrange the pieces,
ordering tools and materials, setting up
the exhibition, organising the opening,
creating flyers, etc.
Emmanuel entrusted me with a lot of
important tasks that I was free to interpret
and create without limits, and this trust
allowed me to fully discover certain
aspects linked to this type of event.
Taking part in the installation and opening
of this large-scale project gave me a new perspective on scenography. Since
that course, I’ve been paying particular
attention to the environments and the
way in which my projects are presented,
offering the viewer a staging that provides
a second reading or a heightened sense of
immersion.
